JANUARY 2007 KNIT CLUB PROJECT KNITTED ZIPPER SCARF |
You're welcome to join us on January 20th at 9:30 am for club. As always, we'll start with our "show & tell" then review the pattern and demonstrate the skills you'll need to know.
This fantastic project is very easy to knit and will help you learn how to attach a zipper to your next knitted project - even for hand knitted projects. All you need to have is a regular sewing machine with straight stitching and a walking foot. Don't like a zipper? Modify this pattern to add buttons, snaps, or any other closure you want. We'll also learn the fun and easy Endless Scarf.
What you'll need to complete this project: knit a scarf in any pattern double wide (knitting is folded in half) and a separating zipper 18 to 24 inches long (or desired length) that closely matches your yarn.
